Situated on the N14, main route from Upington/Springbok

Description

The town is named after the Koranna leader, Klaas Pofadder whose grave may be visited. Pofadder was declared a town in 1936 and the first farms measured out in 1891/2 by surveyor Allstone. Sheep farming is the main infrastructure of the area.
